From here on in, I'm referring to womyn who were CAMAB as simply womyn, and those who were CAFAB and 'identify' as female as ciswomen. I do this in the interests of cultural feminism, and so that ciswomen can know what it's like for a tenth of a second to have a womon say, "you are not my sister. You did not go through what I went through and never will understand." Girlhood is significant, and is forever tainted by cissexually-constructed wannabes.

This blog is aimed at DMAB (that’s designated male at birth) trans people. We’re tired of playing second fiddle to DFAB trans people in the queer community and having our spaces flooded…

Yeah… more advice to trans women about how not to be visible… on how to slink quietly into stealth and ensure that trans girls grow up thinking trans women don’t blend… good idea.

because ensuring you can pass in your everyday life so you don’t get murdered is selfish and you should be visibly trans when buying groceries to save the precious trans children.

Alright, you might want to re-read what I’ve written. Nothing wrong about being read as cis. I am. Something wrong about then becoming utterly invisible. Trans women, like myself, who were able to find the wherewithal to transition, owe a debt to the community, one that can only be paid forward. That’s why I’m out, because I don’t want another 12 year old girl to go through a life-ruining puberty, thinking that there’s nobody like her. If you want to hide in the closet and you’re not in imminent danger of violence, that’s fine, but don’t pretend that we’re being shot on sight. It’s a level of panic that I expect the local tabloid to pedal, not social justice advocates who should know better.

And please, stop with the murder rhetoric. If you take the estimated US trans population of 1 Million, the 39 US murders reported during the last 3 DORs, you come up with a rate of 1.3/100,000/year. The US homicide prevalence is 4.8/100,000 per year, so 6.1/100,000/year total. People living in Houston are in greater danger than trans women are of being murdered. Transmisogynistic violence used to be the bleeding edge of transmisogyny, but not anymore. Now they kill us in doctors offices and waiting rooms and job interviews. Transmisogynistic violence has moved on to starvation and denial of medicine.
